Terroirs of basalt and gravettes
Resulting from cooled lava from old volcanic eruptions on the Coiron Mountain, the soils are rich in minerals and allow to produce elegant, powerful and floral wines like Syrah.
The plateau of Ardèche composed of a complex mixture of pebbles, sand and clay with numerous white calcareous stones ("gravettes") offers a land favorable to the thriving of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Viognier.
